 Ascension Wins Silver!!

On Friday, May 6, 2011, the Ascension Chess Team attended the Annual Board-Wide Chess Tournament and finished with impeccable results! On the road to the finals, Ascension beat St. Marcellinus, Robert F. Hall, John Cabot, St. Edmund Campion, Loyola, and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. In the semi-finals, Ascension managed to beat the top seeded team from St. Joan Of Arc.

Dubbed as the underdog, Ascension, the school with the big heart, advanced to the coveted final and after a series of heart pounding sudden death rounds against St. Franics Xavier, Ascension finished with Silver medals
