What does this logo mean?

Themes:  Community, Growth, Spirit, Celebration and the Triumph of Christ

A literal depiction of the Ascension of Christ when Jesus floated up into the sky to
heaven as the disciples watched from below.  The Christ figure is depicted in white to
represent purity and rebirth of the spirit. His arms are raised in triumph and blessing.

The disciples are represented in yellow to reflect that we are the Light of Christ on earth.
There is a suggestion of flames to represent the tongues of fire and our responsibility to be
the messengers of Christ to the world. The 3 apostle figures reflect the importance of
community where "three or more are gathered in my name I will be present".

The logo is crest-like in shape to make it appropriate for uniforms.
The relative simplicity of the design affords the opportunity for the logo to appear on a variety of media
