The objective of student financial assistance is to assist eligible students who do not have the resources to finance postsecondary studies meet the costs of postsecondary education.
The intention is to promote equality of opportunity for postsecondary studies by providing financial assistance for educational costs and basic living expenses.
You (and your family, if applicable) are responsible for meeting the basic costs of your post-secondary education. 
NEW FOR 2006/07 -Starting in 2006-07, Ontario is expanding eligibility for its Access Grants so they will also assist students from modest, middle-income families. If you are from a family with two children, your parents can earn up to $74,800 and you could still qualify for a grant.
