"Mouse" is a powerful short film that tells the story of a 10 year old boy who is lured into a street gang.  It was produced in Malton with participation by staff and students from Ascension, Holy Cross and St. Raphael in association with Peel Regional Police. 

Currently, Mouse is available for viewing by staff and students at every school in the Dufferin-Peel board.  You may view an external website about the film by visiting www.mousethemovie.com.  You may also view a clip from the film on youtube here

The film is gaining recognition outside the board.  It has been awarded the Golden Sheaf Award at the Yorkton Short Film Festival for best youth production and in April 2009 it was awarded "Best Canadian Short" at the Reel World Film Festival in Toronto.  The movie was also featured on an edition of CTV's WFIVE. The report entitled "Beacon of Hope" can be viewed here www.ctv.ca/wfive.  Please return for updates and schedules as they become available.
