Dear Editor:
I would love to take a moment to recognize the teachers of St. Francis of assisi school.
As the parent of three children attending the school, we have been blessed with fantastic people who have a tremendous desire to see our kids grow in their education, not to mention who they are as people.
Teachers largely go unrecognized because parents believe that's what they're getting paid for. But, they're there for our kids day-in day-out and some go far beyond what is expected of them. At St. Francis of Assisi our teachers do just that. We have teachers who make a very committed effort with their classes to promote awareness of others by having fundraisers so others can have a better life or, at the very least, bring a smile to someone. We have teachers who have won awards for their outstanding contributions, teachers who give their time after school to be involved. It means a lot.
I just wanted to say thank you to these teachers. Their efforts are very much appreciated and they haven't gone unnoticed.
