Volunteer Hours:

Click on this link for information. Parent Information for students obtaining their 40 hours of community service.

• Grade 9 students will be given a "Passport" and a "Passport companion".
• A one page replacement to the "Passport" can be picked up in the guidance office.
• Students will be required to complete 40 hours of community service as outlined in the above link.
• The 40 hours will be recorded onto the student's transcripts necessary for graduation so the ultimate final submission deadline is May 1 of their graduation year.  Students can hand in the passport anytime before this date.
• Community service hours are to be verified by a parent.  This verification if demonstrated by the signing of the "Passport" by the parent.
• Students are encouraged to complete at least 10 hours of community service in each of their years at John Cabot CSS.
• Students are also encouraged to complete hours above and above the 40 required hours.  The extra hours will be recorded and will benefit the student and others.
• Once the 40 community service hours are completed, students are to bring in thier "completed Passports" to the appropriate Guidance Counsellor.
• Parents and students should read over the "graduation requirements page" which is sent home with the semester 1 and semester 2 final report cards.
