PART A – Series of Paragraphs-Essay-Further Preparation

 

Below you are provided with some theme statements that apply to all the possible texts studied in the Grade 10 Academic English Program: To Kill a Mockingbird, The Merchant of Venice, The Secret Life of Bees, and Othello. 

 

For each statement you are to provide at least i) three main arguments, specific examples or quotes from 2 texts to support at least TWO points per argument, and an explanation of how your examples/quotes illustrate the theme. 

 

You may use a chart like the one below to help you organize your ideas.

 

Your responses will provide you with study notes for the exam, therefore it is imperative you provide accurate points, details, examples and explanations.  Use your notes, comprehension questions, quizzes, tests and worksheets as references. 

  

* Remember that your supporting arguments must be from 2 core texts studied in your specific class
