CAMPION STUDENTS STAND UP FOR LIFE

On Sunday, October 3rd, 2010 eleven of our students stood for an hour on Main St. in downtown Brampton in a silent protest against abortion. Many thanks go out to Mr. Marcolla, Mr. Wey and Ms. Rodricks, teacher-facilitators of the Peace Team and the Campion Pro-Life Club, as well as the following students for their conviction and their presence as pro-life advocates:

FORMER CAMPION STUDENT WINS SCHOLARSHIP FROM THE UNITED ACHIEVERS' CLUB OF BRAMPTON

The United Achievers’ Club of Brampton recognized Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board students of Black and Caribbean heritage with high academic standards, excellent community involvement who are pursuing post-secondary educations. This inspiring event took place on Saturday, September 20, 2010 in Brampton. Javaughan Johnson from St. Edmund Campion, Chelsi Bonair from St. Joan of Arc, Hilda Firempong-Sefah from Loyola Catholic, Elizabeth Ridley from St. Joseph Catholic, Adedayo Omiyale and Emmanuel Frimpong-Manso from Notre Dame were among the sixteen honored recipients who received scholarships towards their post-secondary studies. We are proud and honored to have been witness to the recognition of our former students during such a wonderful event.
