ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB

       The OLMC environmental club has been resurrected with a vengeance!! The self proclaimed "Green Unit" has been representing our school at the Peel Environmental Youth Network (PEYA) this year, as well as tackling recycling issues within Mount Carmel.

       Our 30 members have been kept busy participating in landscape beautification programs with tree planting and site planning. Our recycling audits have increased the use of grey and blue bins throughout the school. We were also instrumental in Earth Week activities. Stay tuned as we spread out into the community and investigate the health of local waterways and green spaces. This group is definitely for the defenders of the planet!!
