2009/2010 Events

We are still in the planning stage for next year's events but here are a few key dates for you to hold in your calendar.

Thursday October 15, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. - Families of Schools Meeting (all 7 families of schools superintendents, school council chairpersons and principals). This is your kick off meeting for the year giving council chairs and principals details of important items for the upcoming year. As well you will elect your representatives to CCCSC at this meeting. This year we will host the meeting at the brand new secondary school - Cardinal Ambrosic Catholic S.S. We are thrilled to have this new facility to gather in together.

Saturday, November 7, 2009.- 9:00 to 12:30 a.m.- Training Session for School Council Executive Members. On this day, we provide specialized training for your roles on school councils. This includes training for New Council Chairs, Experienced Council Chairs, Treasurers, Secretaries, Fundraisers, Volunteer Coordinators.  Also at this event, the Parish Reps and OAPCE reps gather in their respective groups for their first meetings of the year. It is a tremendous way to kick of the year and jump start your school council. These sessions are essential to assisting your school council in running effectively throughout the year. All elected school council members are strongly encouraged to attend.

Mid - February 2010 - Keep an eye on this site to find out when CCCSC will host a Guest Speaker geared specifically to helping you grow in your very important role as a parent and role model for your child.

Saturday April 10, 2010- 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Annual In-Service and Market Place - Keep your eye on this site to find out when CCCSC will host this very special annual event. It is always a huge highlight of the year and hundreds of parents, volunteers and educators gather to hear speakers on a variety of very timely and relevant issues. We are always joined by a variety of Vendors that you can visit, talk with and sample some of their delightful products. This is an energizing and exciting event. A MUST TO ATTEND!!!!
