Employment Insurance 2011/12
If you plan to apply for Employment Insurance in December 2011, please click on the links above from Service Canada. Attached to the link is information which will provide basic filing instructions with emphasis on the reporting of Statutory Holiday Pay.
Web ROE's will be filed by January 6, 2012. Please ensure that you apply to Service Canada within 2 weeks after the date that we file the records of employment.
Due to the fact that the Statutory Holidays fall on non-working days Sunday 25 and January 1, it is important that you use the dates that the Board will observe as the holiday dates, (December 27, and January 2, 2012 respectively). These dates are embedded in the form located in the link above. You must use these dates when completing your application.
