Encouraging Facility Partnerships
The Ministry of Education released the Encouraging Facility Partnerships guidelines on February 11, 2010. The main purpose of the guideline is to encourage Boards to work with community partners in order to share facilities to the benefit of the boards, students and the community, and to optimize the use of public assets owned by school boards. The operation of these facility partnerships will occur during school hours.
At the June 7 Administration and Finance Committee Meeting, the list of schools that will be considered for facility partnerships were identified. This will be an opportunity for the Board to exchange information with interested facility partners regarding available spaces and/or potential co-build projects and community needs.
Interested Facility Partners should download and complete the Application of Interest for Partnerships form from the Board’s website or contact Nicole Moriah, the Board’s Outreach Coordinator at extension 23176 or Nicole.moriah@dpcdsb.org for the form.
