Scott is serving his inaugural term as a Trustee after 10 years of volunteer service within DPCDSB. He currently sits with all Trustees on the following committees: Faith & Program, Administration & Finance, By-Laws, Suspensions/Explusions, and Catholic Partners.  He also is an active member of the Contract Negotiations Committee and Grievance Committee.

Prior to being elected Trustee, Scott was a member of two elementary (Holy Family, St. Patrick) and one secondary (Cardinal Ambrozic) Catholic School Councils.  He performed many Council leadership roles including: 6-time Chair/Co-Chair/Past Chair, Treasurer, Parish Representative, Fundraising Chair, O.A.P.C.E. School Liaison and Bullying Prevention Team Parent Advisor.  With the collective support of countless parents, students and staff, his associated Council’s raised $100,000 for Catholic education and collectively funded the first literacy room in our Board.

Scott has remained committed to helping within his community.  He previously coached a combined ten seasons of house league boys & girls baseball, soccer, and hockey.  Currently, he serves as a member of the Brampton Safety Council, Brampton Clean City Committee and Brampton Board of Trade.

Scott holds a degree (B.A. - Economics) from the University of Western Ontario and is a professional freelance copywriter.  He and his wife, Cindy, have been married for 20 years and they have two children.  Their youngest child is a member of the inaugural class at Cardinal Ambrozic Catholic Secondary School.  The family are members of St. Patricks Church.

The new Trustee is genuinely humbled by the support he has received.  “To have this wonderful opportunity to serve my community and positively contribute to Catholic education is a blessing for which I am so truly grateful.”
