The Beginner Driver Education Course
Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board is offering The Beginner Driver Education Course to students of Dufferin-Peel at participating secondary schools. To be eligible, students must be 16 years of age, have their G1 licence and meet the provincial guidelines to enter Level 1, Class G.

How much does the course cost?
The program costs $495.00 (GST included). Students will also receive an exercise book for in-class instruction.
Who provides the in-car instruction?
A local driver training company is our in-car provider.
How many hours of instruction does the student receive?
Students receive 25 hours of classroom instruction, which is taught by qualified Secondary School Teachers after school hours, plus 10 hours of in-car driving lessons and some in-car observation time.
Why choose Dufferin-Peel Beginner Driver Education course?
Dufferin-Peel Beginner Driver Education course provides students with quality classroom instructors who are Ministry of Education certified. The classes normally run directly after school, most often in your child’s day school. Upon completion, students receive a certificate from the Ministry of Transportation issued from the Adult and Continuing Education Office. Students must come to the Adult and Continuing Education office in person, to sign for and pick up this certificate. Students are eligible for insurance discounts such as reducing Level One Period by 4 months. Please contact the office to request a certificate once both in-class and in-car instruction is fully completed. 48 hours notice is required to prepare a certificate.

37953 to confirm class start times, dates, locations and other registration information. Classes will run depending on sufficient enrollment during Fall, Winter, Spring
and Summer sessions. Schools participating in the program also offer registration
information during morning announcements and advise students of The Beginner
Driver Education Course registration meeting dates.
