February 17 – Dufferin-Peel’s 8th Annual Black History Month Conference - UbuntuOn February 17, Dufferin-Peel will host its 8th annual Black History Conference for secondary school students called, “Ubuntu – I am what I am because who we all are.” The conference will focus on members of the local Black community who have achieved success, fulfillment of their ambitions and who are also role models for all students. Students will hear a keynote address from gospel singer and humanitarian, Diane Clemons. Time: 9:15 a.m. – 1:45 p.m. Location: St. Aloysius Gonzaga Secondary School, 2800 Erin Centre Boulevard, Mississauga.
