Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board and OECTA Elementary Teachers reach tentative agreement on new four-year contract
MISSISSAUGA – The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board and its Elementary Teachers (Dufferin-Peel (OECTA)) have reached a tentative collective agreement. The agreement is for a four-year contract in accordance with the Provincial Discussion Table framework as agreed to by the Ministry of Education, OECTA and Catholic school boards across the province.
The Dufferin-Peel (OECTA) represents approximately 3,000 elementary teachers in 122 elementary schools throughout the board.
The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board is one of the largest school boards in Ontario, with approximately 87,000 students in 145 schools located throughout Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon and Orangeville. With approximately 10,000 employees, the board is also one of the largest employers in the region.
