Media Invitation to Book Launch: Dufferin-Peel introduces new resource on role of Catholic Church in the development of Catholic Education and communities in Peel Region and Dufferin County
The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board is holding an official launch of its new resource, Our Story, Our Tradition, Our Journey, a 252 page photo illustrated history of the role of the Catholic Church in the development of Catholic education and in the development and growth of local communities in Peel Region and Dufferin County.
The book launch and reception will take place on Monday, September 19 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. in Room 301 at the Catholic Education Centre, 40 Matheson Blvd. West, Mississauga.
The book is a component of two Community Studies Units for Grade 7 and Grade 10, approved by the board of trustees and designed to help students better understand and appreciate the contribution and role of the Catholic Church from historical and contemporary perspectives in the development of Catholic education and in the development and growth of our local communities in Peel Region and Dufferin County.
Media is invited to attend and receive a copy of the book and teaching guides.
Please note that this book launch precedes the board’s regular Faith and Program Committee meeting scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on September 19.
