Dufferin-Peel celebrates the official opening of the

St. John Fisher Early Years Partnership site

 

BRAMPTON - On May 30, the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board and its community partners will host an open house for the St. John Fisher Early Years Partnership site. The site, located at St. John Fisher Elementary School in Brampton, opened its doors in September 2006, and has since provided neighbourhood-based programs for children and caregivers in the Bramalea area. This site is a model to test and evaluate a comprehensive, transferable, neighbourhood centre, which promotes healthy early childhood development and school readiness for children to the age of six years.

 

Tours of the site will take place between 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., followed by an opening ceremony at 4:00 p.m.

 

The St. John Fisher Early Years Partnership site is funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation and was developed in partnership with Success By 6 Peel, Region of Peel, Brampton Neighbourhood Resource Centre, Malton Neighbourhood Resource Centre, Brampton Centre OEYC, Malton Bramalea Gore Springdale OEYC and the Brampton Library.
