Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board and O.E.C.T.A. Occasional Teachers reach tentative agreement
MISSISSAUGA – The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board and the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association-Dufferin-Peel Occasional Teachers have reached a tentative collective agreement pending ratification.
The four year agreement is in accordance with the Provincial Discussion Table framework as agreed to by the Ministry of Education and Catholic school boards across the province.
The Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association-Dufferin-Peel Occasional Teachers represents 1,900 certified daily occasional, and LTO (long term occasional) teachers.
The board continues to negotiate with its other employee groups.
The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board is one of the largest school boards in Ontario, with approximately 87,000 students in 145 schools located throughout Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon and Orangeville. With approximately 10,000 employees, the board is also one of the largest employers in the region.
