Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board and Principals/Vice Principals Association reach tentative agreement
MISSISSAUGA – On November 12, the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board reached an agreement on the terms and working conditions in the Employment Services Contract with its Elementary and Secondary Principals & Vice-Principals for September 1, 2008 through to August 31, 2012 pending approval by the Board on November 25.
The agreement is for a four-year contract in accordance with the Provincial Discussion Table framework as agreed to by the Ministry of Education and Catholic school boards across the province.
The board continues to negotiate with its other employee groups.
The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board is one of the largest school boards in Ontario, with approximately 87,000 students in 145 schools located throughout Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon and Orangeville. With approximately 10,000 employees, the board is also one of the largest employers in the region.
