St. Bonaventure Catholic Elementary School to celebrate official opening and blessing
BRAMPTON - On May 15, staff and students at St. Bonaventure Catholic Elementary School in Brampton will celebrate the school’s official opening and school blessing. Father Jan Gogolewski from Guardian Angels Parish, will preside over the ceremony.
St. Bonaventure Catholic Elementary School, located at 35 McCrimmon Drive in Brampton opened on September 4, 2007. Currently, there are 417 students enrolled in Grades JK to Grade 8.
A school blessing is a milestone event in the life of a new Catholic school and normally takes place within one year of the opening of the school. Blessings are important ceremonial occasions with a strong community focus, and are attended by students, parents, clergy, school staff, board officials, school trustees and other elected officials.
