Orientation for Day School eLearning
2012/2013
There are two mandatory components to this section (1) the orientation session and (2) the orientation modules.
1) Orientation Session
There is a mandatory one hour orientation session at the onset of the semester. Parents/Guardians are welcome to attend this evening session. This may be the only opportunity for the online teacher and students to meet face-to-face. Students must arrange for their own transportation to this orientation session. At that time, students will meet their teacher and be given their username and temporary password to their course. The purpose of this orientation session is to:
answer questions
if applicable: provide your IEP to your online teacher

2) Orientation Modules
Students must complete a set of orientation modules before starting their online credit course. These modules are located within the learning management system and will become available on the evening of the orientation session. Each of the five modules will take approximately one hour to complete. These modules will train the students on how to use the learning management system. Once the five modules are fully completed, students will be provided with a link to access their online credit course.
