The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board’s Special Education Department, special education staff, and support services  personnel, system leaders and educational stakeholders work as a community to support the provision of programs and services that foster independence and promote growth for students with special needs as outlined in the Special Education Plan. Through team planning, staff collaboration and student participation in authentic learning opportunities, students with special needs demonstrate their knowledge and skills and continue to be valued for their uniqueness.
