Collaborative Relationships

Our Catholic school communities enjoy the benefit of a number of collaborative relationships with a variety of organizations in the community in support of improving student achievement and well being. Currently, there are a number of active collaborative relationships across Dufferin County and Peel Region supporting the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board. These relationships/partnerships may vary greatly. Everyone benefits from being involved: educators, community collaborative relationship partners and above all, students.

Strong links between our schools and the community move learning beyond the classroom into the outside world, exposing students to the practical applications of what they are learning. Partnerships offer students the opportunity to broaden their knowledge about our community and opportunities to make a contribution. Collaborative relationships also open the school to the community by inviting our community into the classroom to share expertise and experiences.

Per the requirements of PPM 149 and in support of the directions in the province’s Equity and Inclusive Education Strategy (PPM 119), Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board will review collaborative relationships within our system.  Agencies interested in participating in a collaborative relationship are required to review and adhere to the Collaborative Relationship Procedures as described here:
