Special Education Report

Special education programs and services are provided by a wide variety of professional and support staff including the following:

• Elementary Panel: Classroom Teacher, Special Education Resource Teacher (SERT), Special Education Resource Class Teacher (SERC)
• Secondary Panel: Classroom Teacher, Academic Resource Department Head (ARDH), Academic Resource Department Teacher (ARD), Planning for Independence (PIP)Teacher
• Combined Elementary and Secondary Panels: Administration, Coordinator, Consultant, Itinerant Teacher (Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Blind and Low Vision, ASD, Physical and Medical Needs), Educational Resource Worker (ERW) , Intervenor, Child and Youth Worker (CYW)
• Other Professional Staff: Psychology staff, Consulting Psychiatrist, Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP), Social Worker (SW), Audiologist.
• Paraprofessional Resource Staff (may be contracted services): Orientation and Mobility Personnel, Oral Interpreter, American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter, Transcriber.
