Our Vision
The Dufferin-Peel CDSB vision to create and nurture safe, caring, inclusive and healthy school communities is motivated by a belief that human persons are imprinted with God’s image and are worthy of dignity and respect. As a community rooted in Christ we are committed to a model of discipleship that enhances the Christian formation of all members in conformance with the standards of behaviour reflected in gospel values and articulated in the Catholic Code of Conduct. To this end, curricula, programs and professional development will be oriented to ensure that the virtues and social skills necessary for a life of compassionate service and respect for others is nurtured and celebrated. School communities will foster hospitality, inclusion and empathy through the purposeful implementation of programs and interventions that promote and strengthen positive relationships with students, families, parishes and community groups. Every school, a unique community, will utilize its inherent strengths to build a nurturing learning environment that is safe and welcoming for all, especially the most vulnerable.
