Christ the King Catholic School offers a daily breakfast program for our students. The program is sponsored in part by Breakfast for Kids/Boys and Girls Club of Peel, School Council and generous donations of companies.
Healthy food is essential for a student’s physical, emotional, social and intellectual development. Well-nourished students are better able to concentrate, more effectively retain and apply what is learned and are more likely to show positive social behaviour. Children use up energy quickly and require frequent nourishment.
Our Breakfast Program is open to all students regardless of personal situations. The program began on Monday, November 15, 2010 and will run Monday to Friday (excluding Professional Development Days and holidays) from 8:00AM to 8:30AM. The program will be monitored by school staff and volunteers everyday and will be inspected by Health officials. Staff and volunteers will also receive food-handling training.
There is no cost for your child to be part of the Breakfast program at this time.
Students are obligated and responsible for the following: Cleaning up after themselves. Behaving accordingly and showing proper etiquette and respect while in the program. Be prepared to go outside at 8:30AM
Please note that students may be removed from the program if behaviour warrants it.
If you are interested in having your child participate in the Breakfast Program at Christ the King School, please complete the information and return it to Mrs. DeAgazio.
