WHAT'S HAPPENING AT FATHER C. W. SULLIVAN?
Toys For Tots Father C. W. Sullivan Catholic School Christmas Toy Drive
Christmas is a time for giving, a time to show our commitment to our Catholic faith. Students from Father CW Sullivan have gone above and beyond this year taking the challenge of the season to another level. The Global News story about the Toys for Tots truck being stolen with all the toys for Christmas touched a few of our students greatly. The students were upset with the thought that there would be children in our community that would not get toys for Christmas. These children wanted to make a difference so they began a community wide student driven Toy Collection Event. Students created posters to hang up around the school and there were daily announcements over the PA. Students, staff, and some of the community retailers gathered hundreds of toys to donate to this wonderful charity. A special assembly was held to celebrate the completion of the Toys for Tots campaign. Father Damian, Mr. Prajza, Mr.Da Silva, many police officers, firefighters, and some parents were present. Father Damian blessed the students and said a blessing for the students who will receive the toys. The Peel Police chair and co-chair for the Toys for Tots program thanked the students and the community for their wonderful generosity and caring Christian spirit.
