St. Dominic Parent Resource Book
In 2010, Parent Council applied for funding through the PRO (Parents Reaching Out) Grant from the Ontario Ministry of Education and were successful in receiving a grant. The intention and use of these funds is to support school based initiatives related to informing and engaging parents in their children’s education. Funds were used to create a Parent Resource Book and our Parent Resource Book List. Just click on the link to see the list of books and resources available: Parent Resource Book List #1 and Parent Resource List #2 The Parent Reference Booklet is available through the office and is available online through the school website-just click on the link above. It contains valuable information about St. Dominic School, resources for parents, learning tips from the Ministry of Education and much more. The Parent Reference Library is contained in the office and parents now have access to a variety of high quality new books on diverse subjects such as anxiety,ADHD, Dyslexia, divorce, helping your child to read, dealing with death and grief, nutrition, and many other topics. If you’re interested in borrowing a book, come to the office, review the selection and simply sign out our books for a two week period. Our hope is that this collection will grow in the years to come.
