St. David of Wales

St David of Wales or Dewi Sant, was a saint of the Celtic Church. Many miracles were attributed to him. He is usually represented standing on a little hill, with a dove on his shoulder. He died on  March 1st 589 A.D. . St. David was canonized by Pope Callistus the second in the year 1120.

March 1st , St David's Day, is now the traditional day of the Welsh.
