Goetz Code of Conduct
Guideline One: Grow Spiritually
Students are invited to become active participants in the process of Catholic education, by bringing their energy, enthusiasm and generosity to the task of building a Catholic community within our school and by shaping the vision of Catholic education. The focus should be Christ centred!
Guideline Two: Be Responsible
All through their lives, students must decide how they will act. Although it may not be always easy to make responsible choices, especially if someone else is not being responsible, students are expected to be responsible for their own actions.
Guideline three: Do one's best
Students are always encouraged to do their very best. The question to ask oneself is, "Is this the best I can do?"
Guideline Four: Cooperate with other people
Cooperation includes being polite, treating people with respect, accepting differences between people, dealing with disagreements through STP (Stop, Think, Plan), and encouraging others to do their best.
Guideline Five: Respect the rights and property of others
Everyone must know that Fr. Michael Goetz Secondary School is a safe and supportive place to be. Any behaviour that could hurt someone or damage school property will not be tolerated.
Guideline Six: Show respect for self and others
Respect must always be extended to all members of the Goetz community.
