Hours: Monday to Friday 7:45 a. m. to 3:15 p.m.
In the Library Resource Centre you can:
• Find information in our collection of print materials using the Online Catalogue;
• Find maps, brochures, pamphlets on curriculum-related subjects in the Vertical File collection;
• Access a large collection of database programs, including online encyclopedia, full-text articles from newspapers, periodicals, journals and e-books on various subjects, including literature, computer science, technology, health science, current events, controversial issues, history, geography and culture;
• Research on the Internet;
• Read daily newspapers for current events, or the subscribed consumer magazines, and best-selling fiction for enjoyment;
• Prepare your assignments using MS Office on computer workstations;
• Print, make photo-copies, or bind your assignment.
To checkout materials and computer workstations, students are required to present a Student ID Card, or an updated student schedule.
Student are expected to return materials when due. Any student with outstanding materials/fines will lose library privileges and will not be issued class textbooks.
When using the Internet access at school, students are required to abide by the rules as listed in the Network use and Security Policy outlined by the School Board. Any violation of the policy will result in appropriate action being taken either legally, or within the bounds of school board policies.
The Goetz Citation Guide is available online. This guide is an important tool used by both students and teachers in preparing and completing assignments.
