Ñ  The Resource Centre subscribes to a number of online database programs which include full-text articles from periodicals, professional journals, newspapers, encyclopedias, reference books, and almanacs, as well as images, maps, and video clips.

A collection of online encyclopedias, including Encyclopedia Americana, Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia, The New Book of Popular Science, The New Book of Knowledge, Lands and Peoples, and the Spanish reference, La Nueva Enciclopedia Cumbre.  Updated daily with world news and scientific development.

Knowledge Ontario

Supported by the Government of Ontairo, Knowledge Ontario aims at providing references and research services to all students in the province.  This eResources Portal gives access to a rich collection of full-text articles from periodicals, journals, encyclopedias, almanacs, reference books, covering the subjects of computer science, technology, health and wellness, literature, media, religion and philosophy, military, law, small business, social science, and more.

New database programs for 2011 includes:

 

Canada in Context: covering a broad range of Canadian topics, people, places, and events, written from a Canadian perspective with full-text magazines, academic journals, news articles, primary source documents, images, videos, audio files and links to selected websites.

Canadian Points of View: full-text articles on current issues, providing overview, as well as points for arguments, and guides to developing debate, and writing position papers.

 

Chilton Auto Repair: containing car repair manuals.

NoveList: a guide to fiction that can be searched by author, genre, subject, and keywords, with plot summary, reviews, suggested reading lists, and book discussion guides.
