Fr. Michael Goetz Catholic Secondary School
MLA / APA Style Guide
& Foreword
Several print and web resources were consulted in the preparation of this guide. The Seventh Edition of the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers and the Sixth Edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association are available, in the Resource Centre, for staff and students who may require additional models for citing resources. While we have tried to choose the most commonly used models for the guide, we recognize that the selection is far from complete. Websites including Seneca College Library, Purdue University Online Writing Lab, and Concordia University Library were most useful in creating this guide. These sites offer information, which is concise and well organized, on the topics of MLA and APA formatting and should prove helpful in filling in any gaps.
We hope that this document, and the resources listed above, will help our students to produce correctly documented research papers and we look forward to assisting them in this process.
