What is JAG?
JAG is a student-run business based at St. Aloysius Gonzaga S.S. JAG stands for Junior Achievement of Gonzaga. Junior Achievement (JA) is an international non-profit organization dedicated to educating and inspiring young people about business and economics. Junior Achievement's Secondary School Programs help students make informed, intelligent decisions about their future, and foster skills that will be highly useful in the business world. It offers students the opportunity to learn about the process involved in the conception, organization, operation and completion of a fiscal cycle of a business.
Participants will:
- Organize and operate their own business enterprise
- Raise capital, sell shares
- Prepare a Business Plan and financial statements
- Purchase supplies, advertise, produce/assemble and sell products and manage inventory
- Liquidate and prepare a final report for shareholders
- Pay out salaries, commissions, bonuses and dividends
