Bonjour! Buongiorno!
Once again, the Moderns Department is offering an opportunity for students of Italian and/or French to embark on a cultural and educational experience to France and Italy during the 2013 March Break!
Featured cities on our tour will be Paris, Versailles, Nice, Eze, Monte Carlo, Pisa, Florence, Rome and the Vatican City. Highlights include city tours, a cruise along the Seine, visits to the Louvre and the Vatican museums and much more. All transportation, breakfasts and dinners are included for an approximate cost of $ 3200 per student.
This trip will be offered to Core French, Extended French and Italian students currently in Grades 10 and 11. An important information meeting will be held March 1, 2012. A letter was distributed to all interested language students at the end of first semester and the beginning of second semester. Additional letters can be picked up at the Moderns Department.
Ciao! Au revoir!!
Learn A New Language!
|
Students at St. Aloysius Gonzaga have a wonderful opportunity to learn and experience the culture of different countries.
- After you complete your mandatory grade 9 French credit, you are able to expand your language studies, and take classes in French, and Italian!
- These courses offer you the chance to learn a beautiful new language, and learn how people in different countries live.
- By completing three more years in any language of your choice, you will recieve a language completion certificate.
- When employers are looking at resumes, keep in mind that a person who can speak another language, will be at an advantage over a person who cannot!
- In addition to the 18 compulsory credits needed to graduate, students may choose from several options to fulfill the additional group 1, 2 and 3 requirements. Did you know that students can fulfill these requirements by only taking modern languages? By signing up for Italian in grade 10, and French in grade 10, 11, or 12, students get all the benefits of learning another language while meeting the requirements to graduate!
