This course is designed to enable students to begin to communicate with native speakers of the language of study. Students will use simple language and read age- and language-appropriate passages for various purposes. They willexplore aspects of the culture of countries where the language under study is spoken, including social customs and the arts, by participating in cultural events and activities involving both print and technological resources.
SPANISH, Academic, University Preparation LWS3U1
This course offers students opportunities to further develop their knowledge of the international language and to enhancetheir communication skills. Students will use increasingly sophisticated language in a variety of activities that will enablethem to speak and write with clarity and accuracy. Students will also enhance their thinking skills through the critical study of literature, and continue to explore aspects of the culture of countries where the language is spoken through a variety of print and technological resources.Prerequisite: LWS2D1
