Resource Assistance: ·        All IEP ed. students are assigned a Resource Teacher/Case Manager. The Resource teacher meets with the students in early September, updates or develops the IEP, monitors the student’s progress and communicates with parents, other teachers, the Guidance department, the Administration, and other support personnel. The Resource contact is constant throughout the students’ High School career.   Resource Room (Room 213): ·        Resource room is staffed by SERT Teachers, 100% of the school day. It is available for test writing, editing of work (Bank of Computers available), re-teaching etc. --- Spec. Ed. Technology ·        Sign-up Board for students (encourage self-advocacy).   Learning Strategies Course (GLE): ·        Available for Grades 9, 10, 11, and 12. Course is only for students that have an IEP. Focus’ manly on study skills, organization, time-management, numeracy, and literacy. ·        Course is offered 1st semester for grade 9s.   Gifted: ·        Accommodations to the Regular Program (we do not have a Gifted Program). ·        Monitoring (1 Resource teacher, Mr. Zammit, monitors all Gifted). ·        Regular meetings regarding Scholarships, Mentorship programs, Special programs etc. (Example: Queens Mentorship).
