YOUTH AMBASSADORS/HELPING HANDS
This year, Good Shepherd's Youth Amassadors have begun their faith journey with great determination. In the spirit of community building, every week, the ambassadors have welcomed students within the school to pray the Rosary together. During the Christmas season, in collaboration with the Helping Hands Programme at St. Marguerite D'Youville Church, our Youth Ambassadors volunteered their time and energy to helping the less fortunate families in our parish community. The spirit of Catholicism and community in these students is to be commended.
The Youth Ambassadors for Christ is now in its fifth year here at Good Shepherd. When the group was originally formed there were eleven members, but over the years interest and enthusiasm for the programme increased the number of participants to 23 students!
TERRY FOX DAY

Many thanks to everyone for making our Terry Fox Walk such a success: the parents, the volunteers, the donors, the teachers and of course all the children who participated. Despite the threat of rain, Thursday, September 27th turned out to be a wonderful fall day, ideal for our walk.
This year, our school community raised approximately $2228.45 donations for the Terry Fox Foundation. Not only have our students been a part of Terry’s dream to find a cure for cancer, but they have also come to know Terry’s inspirational story and to recognize him as a true Canadian hero.
Thanks to our Catholic School Council who again this year provided apples for all our students. It was greatly appreciated by all students and staff.
