Holy Cross Catholic School had the privilege of hosting the Honourable Dalton McGuinty,Premier of Ontario, on Tuesday, November 23. Premier McGuinty visited a number of classes,and he was very impressed with the students at Holy Cross. He applauded the efforts of students and staff on many different occasions throughout his visit. The Premier was accompanied on his tour by our Pastor and Associate Pastor, senior board administration, local Trustee, and MPP.The visit and tour highlighted many of the great initiatives in which Holy Cross students are engaged. As always, our Catholicity was a highlight of the tour, in addition to our academic programs and activities. The Premier was greeted by our Youth Faith Ambassadors, received a blessing from our Associate Pastor, and visited our school chapel. Premier McGuinty took the time to meet and talk with many students and staff, and for many of us, this was an opportunity of a lifetime. Our hope is that we made a lasting impression on the Premier and that he will remember Holy Cross for many years to come.
