AVI 101: Visual Arts,  Grade 9, Open

Course Description

This course is exploratory in nature, offering an overview of visual arts as a foundation for further study. Students will become familiar with the elements and principles of design and the expressive qualities of various materials by using a range of media, processes, techniques, and styles. Students will use the creative and critical analysis processes and will interpret art within a personal, contemporary, and historical context.

ª      Kneaded Eraser

ª      Set of Sketching pencils:  HB - 8B

ª      Watercolour Set (Curry’s/ Pentel Transparent Watercolor Set)

ª      Watercolour Brushes:  sizes: 2, 4, 6 & 8  (Curry's Series 2600 Brush)

ª      Glue stick

ª      Standard Ruler (metal ruler with cork backing)

ª      Black fine point marker

ª      Scissors

ª      Ruler up to 45 cm long
