Fundraising for the Philippines
Thanks to everyone for their support...as per usual, Iona stepped up to challenge. The grand total raised was $4069.70 dollars. With the Government matching this, we are over $8000.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As our school community witnessed the recent devastation in the Philippines, a number of Iona students eagerly approached the administration and teachers regarding what assistance Iona can offer to the citizens of this faraway country. A variety of suggestions for fundraising efforts evolved. A plan to coordinate a special Civvies Day and other fundraising activities on Wednesday December 18, 2013 was coordinated by Iona’s Phys. Ed Department. As always we are deeply proud of our teachers and young students who constantly amaze us with their commitment to doing Christ’s work.
Iona continues to offer daily prayers of hope and support to the people in the Philippines who face daily challenges in the aftermath of this tragic event.
