Houseleague Update

Celebrating 34 years under the direction of Mr. Glicner!

The Warriors, Rams, Panthers and Eagles are once again engaged in friendly competition as our houseleague program commenced for its 34th year.

We conducted our elections in the second week of September starting with nominations for the positions of President and Vice-President for each of the four teams followed by a vote.

Congratulations are extended to Jino, Hailey, Danica, Brian, Katrynna, Amanda, Brandon and Lucas for being elected to this year’s houseleague executive under the direction of commissioner Glicner.

As has been the custom, we began our league play with outdoor co-ed soccer for grades 6, 7 and 8.
The lovely Fall colours made a wonderful background to this lively and energetic activity. It’s always nice to see and hear students from all grades lining the sidelines of the soccer pitch to cheer on the players thus encouraging to play even harder.

The Eagles were League Champs in this year’s competition while the Rams won the overall Team Points Championship.
The overall points and standings thus far are:
                                        RAMS----------142 points
                                        EAGLES--------138points
                                        PANTHERS----133points
                                        WARRIORS----122points

We have now embarked on our second phase of competition, this time for the grade 3, 4 and 5 students.
These most eager individuals have begun their indoor soccer season with much anticipation. It’s great to see the grade threes participating for the first time. We expect that everyone will enjoy this fun filled activity.

Once again we have Madame Marangoni and Mr. Mifsud to assist us with the officiating of this program.Without their contributions it would be difficult to run such an extensive program.

Best wishes are extended to all members of our four teams in their quest to hoist the coveted houseleague trophy in June. Enjoy the experience!!!
