Our junior basketball seasons have concluded with some exciting results. Both the girls & boys teams displayed great skill as they competed in the regular season. The boys team finished the season undefeated at 3-0, winning the St. Martin’s division and advancing to the Mississauga South Family Championships. At the Families, our boys went 1-1 in pool play, qualifying them for the semi-finals. Unfortunately, the boys great run of play ended there with defeat. Great job boys!
Our girls also had a successful season, finishing 2-1 and advancing to a playoff game against St. Dunstan. Though our girls tasted defeat in that playoff game, they can take pride in their fabulous play and in knowing that they held their own against the eventual Family Champions from St. Dunstan. Congratulations to the teams and our coaches Mr. Mifsud and Mrs. Gremmen.
In house league action, grades 4-6 basketball has concluded with the Rams sweeping all categories! With the win, they remain in the lead for the overall points championship and the house league trophy. Best of luck as we race toward the end of another outstanding season. Special thanks to Commissioner Glicner and lead officials Marangoni and Mifsud for their hard work in ensuring this program runs smoothly!
On the track, Director Zubac will organize our annual school track and field tryout (June 5th). After selecting the team, our coaches will put the boys and girls through their paces in order to train them for our annual Mississauga South Family Track Meet, which will be held on Monday June 18th. Best wishes are extended to the athletes and coaches as they prepare for another exciting track season.
