Knights of Columbus Free Throw Competition
Round 1
In late January, the top 3 boys and girls from each of Grades 5-8 competed in Round 1 of the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Competition here at the Blessed John XXIII gymnasium. In the week prior to the competition, Mr. Zubac ran qualification in all the grades to determine who would represent the school at this exciting event. This competition is quickly growing into an annual tradition here at the school as the best Jayhawk shooters compete against other students from the neighbourhood. All of the school representatives enjoyed their experience and gave it their best. In the end, 3 Jayhawk shooters (Brian, Ryan & Jamaine) won their respective age groups and have advanced to the next round of the competition, to be held sometime in February. Congratulations to our competitors and best of luck to our 3 winners as they get ready for the next round.
