17th Annual MOVE-A-THON!
On Friday, October 17th, Blessed John XXIII held its 17th Annual Move-A-Thon in the gymnasium. Students from all grade levels fulfilled their pledge form requirements by enthusiastically dancing and moving to an exciting music mix. All participants enjoyed themselves tremendously while supporting their school and promoting fitness. Students were especially pleased to have Father Joyson of St. Martin of Tours Parish and representatives of the Peel Police join our special event. To date, a total of approximately $7000 has been collected in Move-A-Thon proceeds. Money from this event will be used to subsidize student activities and/or purchase new school equipment and resources.
A very special thank you is extended to all members of the school and local community for making this event a huge success. Canvassing, collecting, counting, decorating, dancing and clean up all went well because of your support, dedication and enthusiasm! We hope students enjoy the many prizes that were awarded and we greatly appreciate the donations received from individuals, families and corporate organizations.
