All Star Reading

We are pleased to be offering the All Star Reading program for the 13th year!  The program will be running from early October and end in late May.  Students are selected from grades 1 - 3 to participate in the program.  As part of a balanced literacy program, this program supports early readers as they move into the wonderful, exciting world of literacy.  The cornerstone of the All Star Reading program is comprised of 30 stars. Each star represents one strategy that students, parents and teachers can work on together.  With the encouragement of their coaches (students from grade 5-8), the "all stars" learn strategies to become a independent, self-directed and confident readers.  All the best to our All Star Readers!!!
