Announcements:
Breakfast Program 
Our program is supported through the Breakfast for Kids organization. We would also appreciate the support and welcome donations from our parents or the community. We are asking students to bring a donation of $0.25 for each breakfast. The program began on the morning of Monday, February 6, 2012 and will run from 8:20 a.m. to 8:40 a.m. Students are to enter the school through the Kiss and Ride doors and proceed to the Staff room. Children should not be dropped off before 8:20 a.m.
We require that each interested child have a permission form completed. ____________________________________
French Immersion Program
French immersion is a Canadian educational program designed to give students whose first language is not French the opportunity to learn in the French language. Students registered in this program will spend 90% of their day learning in the French language. All subjects and activities in the French Immersion classroom, except for English language arts, will be delivered in French.
The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board is pleased to offer the French Immersion Program starting in Grade 1 at eight sites, starting in September 2011. These eight sites include the six schools currently offering French Immersion, as well as two new French Immersion sites for the 2011-12 school year.
Information Meetings
Senior Kindergarten parents/guardians, who wish to enrol their child in a Grade 1 French Immersion class for September 2012, are invited to attend an information meeting will be at St. Joachim - Tuesday January 10, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. The deadline for French Immersion applications is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2012.

Registration for Full-Day Kindergarten for the 2012-13 school year, will take place at the school on the following days:
Monday, February 6, 2012*
7:00-9:00 p.m.
*Snow Date: Tuesday, February 7, 2012 - 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, February 8, 9 & 10, 2012
9:00-11:00 a.m.
1:00-3:00 p.m.
