Cooperative Education

Cooperative Education is a planned learning experience, for which credits are earned, that integrates classroom theory and learning experiences in a community placement to enable students to apply, expand, and refine knowledge and skills acquired through a related curriculum course or a locally developed compulsory course. Courses successfully completed or taken concurrently can be linked to Cooperative Education whereby students can earn up to 4 additional credits in a subject. The knowledge and skills students acquire help prepare them for future careers and making successful transitions to post-secondary education, apprenticeship programs, or to the workplace.
