Librarian-Approved Search Portals
These search portals-- also known as SUBJECT-STARTERS-- are connected to thousands of librarian-approved web sites. One advantage of using these portals rather than Google is that the web site evaluation has already been done for you. The expert researchers (university, college, city librarians) would not link the sites to their hubs, if the sites did not have reliable, valid information.
